ADOPTING AN ANIMAL
Our adoption fees are:
$90 - kittens under one year
$80 - cats over one year
$60 - senior citizens 60+
$10 - senior citizens 60+ *
We get to know our animals very well in part due to our "free roaming" philosophy and in part because some are in foster homes. After our cats are through the quarantine period and deemed healthy, they are typically placed in a free-roaming environment. When an adopter arrives, we discuss what they are looking for and do our best to match the animal with the new family. However, it is always our advice to “let your cat pick you.” Much of the time, they do and follow up calls tell us that both animal and owner are extremely happy when this occurs.
If you would like to complete the paperwork in advance, please click the links belong, print the forms and bring them with you.
*PURINA partners with more than 200 shelters nationwide to provide senior citizens with reduced cost pet adoptions. Kitten Krazy participates and receives a $50 reimbursement for every senior adoption (limit of 20 per year). We offer this program to our senior citizens who want to adopt any adult cat one year and older from Kitten Krazy.
MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS
In an effort to maintain a high level of medical wellness, we require of ourselves to provide the following care to each animal we serve: Feline Leukemia (FeLV)/Feline Aids (FIV) Testing, worming, spay/neuter, FVRCP vaccine, rabies vaccine (for cats over 1 year), flea treatment, nails trimmed, ears cleaned, free vet visit coupon, and all medical conditions that present themselves are diagnosed and treated.
Let the reader understand that cats can be carriers of a variety of diseases, parasites and conditions that may go undetected. Symptoms may not appear during their stay at the Klubhouse; therefore, we cannot assume responsibility for the medical condition of any animal past the date of adoption. Additionally, we cannot give advice or treat an animal past adoption as it is considered practicing veterinary medicine.
